EDITORIAL WORK

One year after creating the Projects Editor position and revamping the web program at The Avenue Magazine, I became Editor in Chief of the publication. For the following two issues, I edited and oversaw all written work for the magazine. I was responsible for my team of five editors and taking them through the entire editorial process. This included selecting each issue's "word", or theme,  creation of 18-22 article pitches, reviewing applications and assigning writers to each article, reviewing and editing two rounds of drafts, and finalizing all copy before sending the articles to the design team. This position also placed me on the leadership team, responsible for leading the magazine's direction as well as communication between teams.
